So there I was, planning my future for the next 5 or so years, settled in Bahrain, and practicing Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching to Bahrain residents. I had a wonderful plan and was busy negotiating with a number of leading Spas in Bahrain so that I could offer Functional Medicine for the first time in the Middle East!
After talking to a number of people and speaking to the Ministry of Health, it appears that I have to show them my certification in Nutrition in order to register as a Nutritionist. Don't get me wrong, that is fantastic news that there are strict regulations in place, but what is preventing me is that I have yet to complete my Masters!!
The fact that I have been successfully helping clients worldwide, worked for royalty and have extensive qualifications in my field does not count for nada!!
So, after this hurdle, I am now offering my services as a Personal trainer which I can easily operate without the regulatory red tape. I'm happy to do this as this was my line of work whilst here in Saudi and back in the UK.
Fortunately, I can still run my practice 'on line' as the business is based in cyber world and not Bahrain, so for my existing phone based clients, there will be no change.
As for clients in Bahrain, I look forward to helping you with your fitness goals and just so you know that there will be a lot of extra tips and advice relating to healthy lifestyles ;-) ;-)

I'll also be teaching freelance fitness classes so watch here for times and locations!
