Is my healthy living lifestyle finally paying off or am I just getting old?
This was the question I kept asking myself as I sat and watched oodles of expats party the night away and proceed to get v.drunk and disorderly at our recent N.Y.E bash at the Diplomat.
Don't get me wrong, I was once there myself, a party animal extraordinare!! but as a consequence of all the late nights, my health just deteriorated and it has taken some serious nurturing and healing to get to where I am today.
I just feel so good waking up without a sore head, wasting the day in bed, eating junk, having brain fog, and having my digestive system cause me discomfort and can't help but ask; Is it really all worth it?
It wouldn't be so bad if I could say that the only people 'living it up' were the youngsters but so many people of all ages were 'binge' drinking. It really has become such an epidemic and certainly the Brits are renowned for it. (I'm sorry if I sound like a party pooper, believe me I was once the hostess with the mostess!!)
