Rob said something today that made me think........
We were discussing how time goes so fast these days and that here we are at the end of another week (our weeks end on a Thursday here in Bahrain and we have Friday and Saturday off). We are also counting down the days now until the family and co. start arriving in their masses for a week of entertaining and oh yes...... our wedding!
He said well time does go faster as you get older.....yes I have heard that many times before..... he then said well it goes faster proportionate to your age. At the age of 60 you are spending 1/60th of your life in one year and when you are 10 you are spending 1/10 of your life in one year!!
mmmmmmmm interesting concept! Only a Structural Engineer could come up with that one!
On another note:
Wedding fever is almost upon us as the day draws closer for in less than 2 weeks my mum arrives from Florida, 4 days later the rabble from Scotland start to arrive, friends from the UK, Doha, Riyadh and Al Khobar following. What can I do with divorced parents, best friends, couples who haven't seen each other for years and are thrown together staying at the same appartment building for one whole week!! aaaaaaarrrgghhh I can see why Weddings can be stressful!
I can also see why honeymoons are booked so you can go off and recover!
Progress to Date:
As you will have seen, I have been completing my Wedding Day Shape Up which has been fantastic and also painful at times. As a true protein type (who don't do well at fasting) I tried the lemon detox diet that seems to be so popular. The diet consists of maple syrup, lemons, cayenne pepper and water! Sounds great I thought, a detox is a great thing for the liver. I know that preparing liver in lemon juice for 8 hours does wonders for the meat prior to cooking, so it certainly will do some good for the human liver! Well in a nutshell, I lasted about two days and was a miserable cow for the whole 48 hours. My moods were awful, I felt lousy, it wasn't that I was hungry I just felt so low! Anyway, Rob my beloved fiance was on the receiving end and will vouch that it didn't suit me at all.
I am back on to my 5 times a day snacks and meals and exercising plenty! Well it has paid off and I can't wait to pop the dress on! I'll post some pictures shortly!
As I get married in 3 weeks tomorrow!!!!!!! you can imagine that I have plenty of errands to run. So I'll be back in action beginning of April, and I look forward to sharing the pictures and tales of the upcoming celebration.
Lastly, I have some exciting things planned for all those based in Bahrain. I, along with some excellent international fitness presenters are launching some fantastic health and fitness sessions down in Budaiya. I'll be posting new details as and when, but get ready for things to start week commencing April 6th.
Does anyone have any last minute advice I should know about pre wedding!!
ta ta for now!
